Project Overview //
Whipps Cross hospital in East London originated in 1894 is undergoing a major refurbishment project managed by Vinci Construction Ltd and senior management at Whipps Cross University Hospital. SEH Commercial have previously worked upon the ‘Bracken Ward’, the ‘Birch Ward’, the Ultra Sound and Breast Screening ward’, and the Conifer Ward at Whipps Cross which have been successful installations.
The Chesunt Ward refurbishment project requirement was to replace all the existing windows with new PVC-u sliding windows supplied
by our supply partners REHAU which best matched the traditional style of the original windows. As with the previous refurbishments, the windows have improved the thermal insulation, critical in a hospital environment, as well as providing ample ventilation in addition to enhanced security and noise reduction too.
The latest phase of the refurbishment is on the First Floor Junction which is a fenestration upgrade of the corridor windows and doors.
