Located a short walk from Kingston town centre, Tiffin Boys School founded in 1880, is a selective boys’ grammar school with more than 1,000 pupils in full-time education. SEH Commercial was engaged by Feltham Construction to provide 450m2 Sapa Elegance 52ST curtain walling to the second phase of the school’s 21st-century building project, which consists of the construction of a new dining hall, IT suite and five new classrooms.
Sapa Dual Frame casement windows were installed with silver hardware and Sapa commercial aluminium doors featuring anti-finger trap vents, concealed closers with hook locks, and silver pad handle. The curved expanse of Sapa Elegance 52ST curtain walling featuring glazing selected to achieve the ‘U’ values and acoustic requirements of the project, is paramount to its town centre location.
The new building with the state of the art curtain walling finish gives the school an aesthetically pleasing modern outlook, befitting its outstanding educational reputation.

“Tiffin School was a challenging yet exciting job to be designed due to the rotundas involved. Our CAD drawings were used to process the material order to ensure accuracy on the rotunda curtain walling. It is one of those buildings you pride yourself in saying it was designed by SEH Commercial.”
“Achieving this aesthetic enhancement in a crowded town centre location is always challenging, but working clinically and effectively onsite produced a truly stunning result.”
