Nestling by the side of Guildford’s mainline train station, Station View is a modern development of high specification 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, less than a mile from Guildford town centre. A contemporary new build, SEH Commercial were contracted by Taylor Wimpey South West Thames Ltd to install floor to ceiling windows in the low-rise apartment blocks. Working with 5PA Architects, SAPA aluminium glazed Elegance 52 and 62 curtain walling was selected with dual frame window inserts and commercial doors, along with high-performance double glazing is thermally broken aluminium framing systems. The glazing supplied by APlus featured a laminated outer pane with a toughened soft coat inner pane.
The commercial aluminium doors featured anti-finger trap stiles, concealed closers, hook locks, pad handles, low thresholds and polyester aluminium coated louvres fitted with fly mesh. The curtain walling installation of feature floor to ceiling windows has provided bright and airy open plan living to the three core buildings, which surround a landscaped courtyard garden. This is a fine example of how SEH Commercial can provide a contemporary solution for a new residential development.
