Project Overview //
Corbin House, a 5 storey solid brick construction residential block in Bromley by Bow, East London is home to 100 flats. Managed by the Wilfred East London Housing Co-operative. SEH Commercial were asked to tender for an extensive refenestration project to replace the existing Timber and PVC-u windows and Timber Entrance doors to all residential units. The project requirement was to replace all of the 522 existing windows and frames which were supplied by Rehau and were selected for their high specification PVC-u reversible tilt and turn casement windows. The welcomed fenestration programme has enhanced the safety and essential security of Corbin House in addition to improving access and living conditions for residents.
Sound insulation and heat loss reduction are notable benefits the project has provided which has made a huge improvement to the building’s dynamics. Like all buildings which have stood the test of time, Corbin House has been a perfect example of how SEH Commercial can create a bespoke programme of refurbishment
to match the traditional appearance of the building.

The SEH Commercial installation programme went very well and was delivered on schedule. The only slight delay we encountered was due to accessibility to the flats but that is inevitable when you are dealing with occupied flats.
The contract went as planned and we conducted the erection and dismantling of the scaffold within the client’s time periods to accommodate the Christmas break.
