OUR NEVER ENDING STORY
In recent years SEH Commercial have enjoyed a very close relationship with St George’s. Our work on the continual Beaufort Park project is testimony of our joint collaboration with their business.
With fashionable Hampstead nearby, it’s fair to say that the specification on this particular project is fairly unique.
SEH Commercial’s involvement with St Georges on G-Block represented the follow-on from previous blocks in the same project. The value of this element of the project was circa 1 million pounds for this ‘new build’ programme.
Overall the project had a variable range of products for the site, this included all fenstration to the main apartments as well as the penthouse suits – all were fitted by SEH Commercial.
Naturally, with a programme of this size, we found some inevitable challenges along the way. We realise that our partnership is more than just a simple supply of services and products, and we recognise our responsibility to continually provide solutions to what can be extremely complex scenarios. Max Rozwadowski – Technical Manager, went on to speak about two key solutions that were proposed by the SEH Commercial team, for example;
“SEH Commercial redesigned spigot vents (that were once supplied by another subcontractor on a previous phases of the Beaufort Park Development), in order to improve the weather rating and stop water penetration – this proved a valuable solution.”
Max went on to say;
“SEHCL redesigned a patio doors support system in each penthouse, to remove any deflection from sliding track. This solution ensured smooth door operation regardless of whether condition and thermal expansion”.
Beaufort Park combines a relaxed, village-like atmosphere with the buzz of the London capital. This area of North West London is a popular area for celebrities, professionals and families all choosing this lifestyle choice. Therefore, quality of product is paramount.
All 650 pieces of new PVC replacement windows on the project were supplied by Rehau. There was also a vast amount of curtain walling required, and this was supplied by our partners SAPA.
As a result of our valued work with St Georges, we also had the opportunity to work with Carrilion on the he next phase in this project – this was F-Block. F-Block is a new build programme within the Beaufort Park project for the social housing sector. The site is I building consisting of 7 floors.
The 660 new PVC windows were flush casements from Rehau, and the project also required a number of French doors to be fitted.
Our work at Beaufort Park is continuous, and we are enjoying being part of one of North London’s exciting landscape projects.
